Family

God placed in my heart that April was my wife months before I approached her for dating. On our first date, I told her that I believe God wants us to be married, but let’s prove this revelation. After one year of dating, plus marriage counseling and the adventure of wedding planning, we have been married since 2005 and have two daughters. We have had ups and downs during our marriage, but God has constantly guided us through His Kingdom marriage principles, and each year our marriage grows better and stronger.

Education

From a young age, I exhibited a strong inclination towards creativity. I often disassembled electronic devices and embarked on the challenge of reassembling them. I even crafted my own transformers using cardboard and, with the guidance of my father, constructed a robot for a high school science fair project.

Following my graduation from A. R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School, where I held the position of salutatorian, I channeled my creative passion into my academic pursuits at Morehouse College and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). At Morehouse, I attained a degree in General Science, and at Georgia Tech, I earned a dual degree in Electrical Engineering.

My educational journey continued as I pursued a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, followed by a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, both granted by Georgia Tech. During my doctoral studies, I developed a cutting-edge human recognition software application capable of identifying individuals in surveillance videos. Subsequently, upon the completion of my Ph.D., I contributed to research efforts at Georgia Tech as a postdoctoral fellow, focusing on automatic methods for human activity recognition in video-monitored environments.

However, I am not just a techie. I graduated from Faith Christian Center’s Faith School of Ministry and was licensed through Word of Faith International Christian Center.
